Inaugural Beaumont Art Walk Goes Aug 13

Get ready for a new event, right here in the town of Beaumont!  The Artist Association of Beaumont (AAB) is planning a new outdoor event for the summer, that promises to bring to Beaumont things we all love – art, music and food!  The Beaumont Art Walk is a one day event, rain or shine, on August 13 from 11 – 7 pm.  Curated art, by a variety of artists and artisans, will provide an eclectic array of works for viewing and purchase.  It will be a combination of local and other Canadian artists and artisans, all ready to meet with you to discuss their work and share their talents.  Blues and Roots are partnering with AAB to showcase music at the event, and a call for food trucks will be issued so  they ensure they feed your tummy, as well as your soul!

The city will be its stage, as the event will be held outdoors in the central Ken Nichols Recreation Centre South parking lot.  AAB has been working with and sponsored by the City of Beaumont, Beaumont Society of Arts, and Club Beaumont to ensure the best possible event for creating fun and a sense of community.  Watch for our logo to keep up to date about this event!

Research shows that there is a clear relationship between excellent arts and culture in the community and a sense of belonging.  Art events such as this art walk impact how people relate to a place and foster a sense of attachment and belonging to the community.   AAB hopes to continue to build a culture of belonging through the arts through events like this.

Mark your Calendars, enjoy your community and explore in the arts – August 13th!
