Don’t miss this fantastic opportunity to join a Beginner Bead Workshop with Marisa McKinney on Monday, February 24, from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM at the Break Out Room in the Beaumont Community Centre. Marisa McKinney is a talented Indigenous designer that runs under her company name, “Feathered Away”. As mentioned in previous communications, members get first priority for registration, so this workshop will be open exclusively to members until February 4th. After this date, it will be available to the public.
What can you expect to take away from this workshop? You will learn the art of crafting beaded fringe earrings. This unique opportunity will allow you to explore fascinating Indigenous beadwork traditions and techniques. All necessary materials will be provided, and you will have the chance to create your own stunning pair of earrings adorned with intricate beadwork.
Don’t miss out on this chance to unleash your creativity and make beautiful wearable art pieces! The class fee, which includes all materials needed to complete your fringe earrings, is offered at a great price, thanks to the support of AAB and the City of Beaumont. Members pay $30, while non-members pay $35. Class size is very limited, so please register early by emailing for confirmation of availability and further payment instructions: artistsassociationofbeaumont@gmail.com.
