Art Connects Workshops 2025 – 2026

With the school year underway, it’s a perfect opportunity for adults to learn something new! Art workshops provide a fantastic environment for people of all ages to acquire new skills in a fun, constructive, and non-judgmental setting. At AAB, we are hosting several workshops this year and would love for you to participate. Be sure to check back on this page for updates on what’s happening and how you can get involved.

This year we will be hosting open studio meet-ups every Thursday at our new artspace at the KNRRC from 7 – 900 pm. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Many of our events, workshops, and meet-ups could not be possible without the support from the Art Grants Program, provided by the City of Beaumont. For this we offer our sincere, thank you.

The Glow Within Workshop with Nicki McStay

Nicki McStay is a local artist that has been impressing us with her creativity in coming up with unique designs for creating 3D decor items that participants can build, decorate/paint, and make their own. She will help you amaze your friends, with this unique floral desk lamp, that you build yourself with pre-cut wood and acrylic pieces! Add your own colour choices and style, by painting the pieces to make it uniquely your own, and giving it a faux stained glass look!

The Glow Within workshop is one evening – Monday, Jan 19th 6:30 – 9:30pm. This is a 3 hour workshop – ALL supplies provided to create this 9×9” standing lamp. We have limited supply of blow-dryers/heat guns to speed up the paint drying process, but if you have one available to bring, that would reduce sharing time.

Workshop fee is $80/member; $90/non-member. Register by emailing artistsassociationofbeaumont@gmail.com to confirm availability and then once confirmed, you may e-transfer to the same email address to complete the registration.

Sip, Paint & Whine- An EWE & AAB Art Connects Paint Night

Looking for a fun way to relax and express your creativity after the busy holiday season? Come hang out with entrepreneurs, artists and their friends for Sip, Paint & Whine! We’ll provide materials, an instructor, the venue, drinks and snacks! Let your inner muse flow, and paint a masterpiece in a chill, laid-back setting. Networking is encouraged! Paint Yourself Happy with Linda Finstad

AAB and Linda Finstad (aka Famous Coffee Artist) are collaborating to bring to Beaumont – Paint Yourself Happy! Want to combat the winter blues? This is a wellness workshop for adults, 4 sessions over 4 weeks where you will discover the healing power of creativity! The workshop is designed to boost mood, reduce stress, and reconnect with your inner joy. Linda will lead us through each session, exploring “happy memories through art” This class will provide you with instant access to your happy hormones dopamine, serotonin and oxytocin these are the hormones that influence feelings of well-being and pleasure. Backed by science and rooted in compassion, this workshop helps you find beauty in your own story. No previous art experience is required, just a willingness to explore and express. Come as you are, and leave a little lighter.

Workshop dates are Saturday, Jan 10, 17, 24, Feb 7th, from 10 am to 1 pm at the Ken Nichol Regional Rec Centre. Light snack and coffee/tea/water will be provided.

The class is offered at a discount rate of $150/members $160/non-members for all four sessions and includes a full size media art book and supplies.
