Join us on March 21, 2026, from 12:00 – 5:00 at the Art Hub located at Ken Nichols Centre (5303 50 St. Beaumont) for an exciting journey into the world of wet felting, where you will learn to create a stunning 3D vessel using a resist, such as a beautifully crafted vase or bowl. This introductory class is perfect for beginners eager to explore the creative process of laying out wool, layering techniques, and the art of wet felting.
We’ll dive into the types of wool that work best for this technique, primarily focusing on soft and versatile merino wool. While this class won’t concentrate on embellishing our pieces, the instructor will provide some examples of embellishments and share insights about their use for your inspiration.
Wet felting is an engaging and hands-on experience; be prepared for energetic activities that involve standing, rolling, and throwing as participants work together to shape their vessels.
Students should bring a pair of sharp scissors (preferably sharp and pointy, like embroidery scissors), two regular-sized towels, and one hand towel.
The class fee is $90.00 for members and $100.00 for non-members. With only 10 spots available, don’t miss your chance to participate—register early by emailing us at artistsassociationofbeaumont@gmail.com to secure your spot!
By the end of the class, you will leave with your own vessel, ready to dry and show off! Don’t miss this chance to unleash your creativity and learn a new skill!
